Workspaces
Understand workspaces in Taifa Mail - how they isolate your data, the personal workspace created at signup, and how to switch between them.
A workspace (also called an organization) is the top-level container for everything you do in Taifa Mail. Domains, sender addresses, API keys, contact lists, broadcasts, webhooks, email logs and the inbox all belong to exactly one workspace.
Your personal workspace
When you sign up, Taifa Mail automatically creates a personal workspace for you and makes you its owner. Everything you create starts out inside it - you do not need to set anything up to begin sending.
If you used Taifa Mail before workspaces existed, your account was migrated automatically: all of your domains, emails, keys and other data now live in your personal workspace, with you as the owner. Nothing was lost.
Why workspaces exist
Workspaces let you:
- Separate environments or clients - keep a staging workspace apart from production, or one workspace per customer if you run an agency.
- Collaborate with a team - invite colleagues into a workspace so they can manage domains and sends without sharing a login. See Members & invites.
- Isolate data - members of one workspace can never see another workspace's domains, contacts or email logs.
Switching workspaces
If you belong to more than one workspace, use the workspace switcher in the top-left of the dashboard to move between them. The active workspace determines which data you see and where new resources are created.
Your session always carries the active workspace, so API requests and the dashboard stay in sync. Switching is instant and does not log you out.
Workspace settings
Go to Settings to manage the current workspace:
- Rename the workspace
- Upload a workspace logo (PNG, JPG or SVG, up to 256 KB) - owners and admins only
- Manage members and invites
- View the plan and billing
A workspace is created for you at signup and is the home for all your data. To leave a workspace you belong to, remove yourself from its member list. See Members & invites.
